The DF700 gas fireplace is elegant in style, efficient in operation and easy to use. Its carefully considered dimensions make it the perfect replacement fireplace for an open fronted wood fireplace. The DF700 can also be installed straight into a timber framed wall without the need for expensive fire rated materials.

Inspired by trending design cues, the DF700 has incorporated the minimalist European style. This design decision grants 2x more viewable flame area than other fireplaces in its category in the market. With a simplistic appearance, the DF700 gas heater adapts to its surroundings, making it perfect for a mantle or tile surround. DF Series 2024 Model Improvements:

New Escea Bead Burner technology

• For softer, wider and richer flames that closely mimic the nature of a real fireplace burning.

New realistic DF Series Fuelbeds

• Splitwood - A fuller traditional wood fuelbed with larger logs that are layered on a base of smouldering embers – for a ‘freshly lit’ look.
• Volcanic Rock - Available in Natural or Black: A variety of organic-shaped stones in different sizes (and colours), for a more realistic, natural stone appearance.

Zero Clearance

• The 2024 DF Series now features the same Zero Clearance installation as all other Escea Indoor Gas Fireplace models, giving customers a wider range of surround options to choose from, and a 200mm TV Clearance.

Flame Effect Burner

• When on ‘flame effect’ or ‘LOW’, the front burner now stays alight, and the back burner turns off, providing a better visual flame display.

Smart Heat Technology

Our exclusive new remote control technology, Smart Heat, puts you in control from anywhere, anytime.

Our unique Escea Smart Heat system connects each fireplace in your home directly to your modem. Once you’re connected, download the Android or iOS app to control your fireplace’s precise settings and temperature. Or log onto our Smart Heat website to view and control your fire’s settings.

The fireplace also monitors the temperature of the room and adjusts accordingly based on the requested room temperature. The fireplace automatically modifies the heat output and air fan to make sure there is no energy wasted – all while staying whisper-quiet.

Powered Direct Vent

Our Escea Powered Direct Vent is a balanced flue that uses an externally mounted fan unit controlled by the fireplace to provide higher efficiency, better reliability and fluing flexibility. Two pipes run from the fireplace to the fan unit: one removes spent combustion air from the fireplace, while the other draws fresh air from outside for combustion.

For horizontal termination, the external components are housed in a slim-line stainless cowl with a minimal visual profile. This system is also available with a vertical termination option that allows for through-the-roof installation. If a long flue run is required, Escea's unique poly pro flues allow for flue runs of up to 12 metres.

Remote Control

This fireplace comes supplied with a new slimline remote control so you can adjust the temperature from the comfort of your couch.

Timber cavity fireplace

This fireplace insert is suitable to be built into a timber cavity.

Brick chimney retrofit fireplace

This gas log fire can be installed into a brick chimney with aluminium flexi-flue extensions.
