I shopped around for months before I made the purchase for a Bradley Smoker. I love this smoker. Have have used it a few time and man what can I say but awesome flavor, easy to use! After the 3 or forth time I used the smoker I realized the interior lower portion of the smoker was peeling off and then noticed the door gasket started to warp. I contacted Bradley direct and spoke with a answering service. Then contacted through email. They responded to my Concerns within a day. After a few back to back emails, they shipped me a brand new smoker free of charge!!! I was amazed. This company hands down takes care of there customers. Thank you BRADLEY SMOKERS for helping me!
Setting the oven temperature is easy with the digital control panel, however, Im pretty sure the oven does not reach the temperature its set for having placed a digital temperature probe through the top vent. Its about 5-10 deg off, but I can say the same about my previous masterbuilt smoker. My smoker stand is very tall, having the control panel on the side and lower is great. I had to use a stool to reach and read my previous top mounted control panel. I bought this smoker because of the wood briskets and auto feed system. I certainly can taste the difference of the smoke penetration. No door latch that my Masterbuilt had, but I see no evidence of heat and smoke escaping. I liked the racks better on the masterbuilt because they are bent up on the back side so you can pull them out without falling out, however, now I completely remove the racks to load and unload the meat so it works fine. Bradley recommends that the spent wood briskets be removed after a few have dropped (they exchange every 20 minutes) but most experts will say to never open the door which will lower the temperature and allow the built up smoke to escape. Ill probably ignore their recommendation.
I picked this dude up to replace my older Bradley smoker and also kind of like an upgrade. The controls are easy to use and it smokes and holds the temperature very good, first use had no problem coming up to temp. First cook came out perfect, brisket was awesome considering it was the first thing that was cooked in it and came out perfect. Very impressed on this one over my older one that is 5 years old. Only thing I can say that I want to see in these smokers is wheels other than that Im my 14 years of smoking my own meats this lil smoker is worth it
My buddies talked me into getting this smoker. It is a nice smoker. About the only things I don't like about the smoker is that it doesn't heat up quickly enough and only has a 4 hour cooking window. I would like to be able to set the timer for the entire smoke time and not have to remember to re-set after 4 hours. The biscuit feeder works well and it cooks the meat well. It is easy to clean because -- well, you are not supposed to clean it inside. But at the end of the day, I don't really care for the flavor of smoked meats.
I like the case and build quality in general. The LCD display is nice, but a little hard to read considering most people will probably set this on the ground and you need to bend over to see and use the buttons. Here's my issues with this smoker; first the pucks put out a constant amount of smoke, you can't load it up with more wood chips like other smokers to get a burst of smoke. With my other smoker I had, a Masterbuilt, I think I was able to control the intensity of the smoke flavor better with wood chips. Maybe its because their solid wood and not the wood dust mixture with the Bradley pucks. This means that this smoker is really about the long smoke sessions, like a few hours or more.At the end of the day its hard not to resent having to keep on buying pucks for this thing
